4-pin connectors
I completed my microphone mod on my AD700s, but the connectors don't fit together correctly, the left side and especially the microphone go out if it's not angled perfectly. The connectors I'm using are these...- TheYonderGod

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
I completed my microphone mod on my AD700s, but the connectors don't fit right, it's too loose so it doesn't make a good connection and stops working when I move. Any suggestions for what connectors to use?- TheYonderGod

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
I'm making a cable (4 pin->dual 3 pin) for my headset mod (adding a mic to my AD700s) Did I get the wrong cable, the wrong connector, or do I just have to deal with the cable being too thick to fit the connector's strain-relief spring? I got this cable...- TheYonderGod

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
I just ordered the stuff for my mod http://i.imgur.com/UqVLklw.png (heatshrink is just because it's cheap and idk what I'll need) I will attach mic to my headphone grill (ATH-AD700) and have the wire running down to the hole where the cable currently comes out of, which I will replace...- TheYonderGod

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
My project is attaching a boom mic to my AudioTechnica AD700s (cannibalized mic from an old broken headset). I want the wire to go into the ear cup and then attach to a TRRS female connector along with the headphone drivers, and then have a single cable run to my computer where I will buy/make...- TheYonderGod

Sound card for competitive gaming
Quote: It's not exactly fluctuations, dynamics was the word I was looking for. Sound gets less dynamic at max volume; loud sounds aren't as loud as they should be relative to quieter sounds. I just tried them with my phone, and other than the lower quality, they sounded fine.- TheYonderGod

Sound card for competitive gaming
I play competitive Bf3 and I'm trying to get better positional audio. I have Audio Technica AD700s and currently an ASUS Xonar DS. From what I've read before, Creative cards are generally better for gaming, correct? My budget is realistically about $100-$130 (the cost of a Titanium...- TheYonderGod

I'm not very impressed by my new AD700s
I wanted to bump this thread because I didn't get answers to a few questions in my last post, and I want to get opinions on if I should or shouldn't do this - I want to get a cheap audio receiver/amp that I can use for both my headphones and speakers. My speakers aren't good at all...- TheYonderGod

I'm not very impressed by my new AD700s
Quote: There is a bit of noise in my environment but I don't really notice it most of the time. Also when watching movies/TV shows with these it's hard to understand people talking sometimes, and quiet parts are too quiet while loud parts are too loud. I'm not sure if it was just...- TheYonderGod

I'm not very impressed by my new AD700s
I just upgraded from my JVC RX700s to AD700s, and I'm not very impressed. They do sound different, but not necessarily better.... maybe a little bit but not really noticeable. I'm not gaining any better positional audio in Bf3. I heard in reviews that there was a HUGE difference and it was...- TheYonderGod

Also when I was thinking about getting the Superlux 668B I got attached to the idea of having a detachable cable (lol I made a punny) for the reason I already said about my dog and to make them easily portable without having to redo my...- TheYonderGod
