It's an LCD-3 pre fazor sound wise. As far as I know there's no size difference between the LCD-2 and LCD-3 wood cups that would have any influence on the sound output.

Highly doubt it.  At least I've never heard of such a thing.  Since they don't use the same drivers as the R10 I can't imagine so.
