Nobsound tube amp impression
I have both solid state gear and valve. The Nobsound tends more towards the valve sound - warm, natural and smooth especially with slower music (jazz, pop, blues etc) and the human voice. It certaintly performs way above its price range for sound. It beats my $1000 Marantz receiver for sound. ...- stephennic

Nobsound tube amp impression
I disagree, the valves do influence the sound, I have had both the jaycar version and the nobsound version. I have tube rolled and certainly does make a difference with different tubes in the circuit. Mods have been done on my Jaycar version and that also made a difference too. Cheers Steve.- stephennic

Nobsound tube amp impression
Hi, I was skeptiical when I first bought the Jaycar version. I have had mine for 6 years and still going strong. A couple of mods and its one of the most musical budget amps I have heard. It does have a bit of a tube sound - warm, rich, natural sound with a bit of depth. Listen for hours...- stephennic

Recommended optical/toslink cable ( chord or vanden hul)
Hi, I am choosing between two optical cables as my bluray player as it doesn't have coaxial connections. Which is better sounding cable - chord optichord or vanden hul optocoupler Mk II. Thanks in advance. Cheers Steve.- stephennic

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
Hi, I bought the TXCO in after I bought the unit. According to Kingwa it will takes quite a few hours to burn in as its not pre-burned in like the unit. I found generally it dosent change the tonal balance but it does make it sound slightlly smoother (not as harsh more musical) and it does open...- stephennic

Hi, See picture. Mine is plugged into a rotel pre (through the blue leads - wireworld rca ). I run it as a dac through my cd player (red lead/coax dig- wireworld). Which has improved the sound significantly. The yellow power lead is an upmarket one and it opened up the soundstage even more...- stephennic

Mine looks different to yours mine has no markings on the knobs it looks like the 12 series . Burn in is best to run with it all connected so signal goes through whole unit . I may be wrong though Quote name="DJINFERNO806"...- stephennic

Hi, If your audio gd 15.32 unit is produced before June, you just push it in lining it up to the dot, after June you solder. But confirm this with Kingwa as I don't want to give you the wrong advice. Cheers Steve.- stephennic

Hi, I need to check, depending when the audio gd was made. Mine was the earlier version which you just push in and the latter version you had to solder in. I can check tonight my emails to see what Kingwa said. Maybe best to email him. Cheers Steve.- stephennic

Hi, I don't know all the technical stuff, but it seems to lessen jitter therefore its seems to be a cleaner signal. Sonically I noticed a smoother/cleaner and slightly more transparent sound. Little details stand out more and bass seems tighter and punchier. Cheers Steve- stephennic
