How would you compare it to the Fuze SQ-wise?

I'm no expert either, but as far as I know, capacitors settle in during the timespan of seconds.

Less like forgotten, more like getting the wording wrong. What I meant is that this player is electronic, in contrast with speakers, which have mechanic parts. You wouldn't believe, but I actually know the definition of analog, and digital, and yet I still used them wrong. Shame on me. With...

I think that a purely digital system, like this player, can't show any kind of phenomenon one might call "burn-in".  It's either voodoo, the user trying to justificate their purchase, or them getting used to the sound of the player. I hope for our sake that it's mostly the latter. Have you...

My second Clip+ is about to die on me in quick succession, and I'm fed up with it. I'm on board. This seems like the only reasonable upgrade from Sansa's champ. Most players are either too expensive/too big/lacking in SQ for my liking, so I was locked into it while getting more and more...

Sansa Clip Zip or Clip+ ?

I also had bad impressions with the jack quality of these players. The first actually lived past its warranty and died on me after like two years and a drop in a bathtub full of water. The headphone jack wasn't working, soldered it every other week for a couple of months then gave up. The second...

Sennheiser HD 4x8 and HD 4x9 - Who knows them better; Sennheiser or Headroom?

I bit the bullet and bought the 429. The 428 was still on display and I had a chance to listen to them. After checking out the 429 at home, my impression is that they indeed sound very similar.

Sennheiser HD 4x8 and HD 4x9 - Who knows them better; Sennheiser or Headroom?

Yeah, I know but I'm just not comfortable with them when it comes to audio equipment. Had too many bad experiences with warranty claims. Truth is, Hungarian businesses in general lack healthy consumer services and buying from an international seller is not an option. In a shop I can at least...

Sennheiser HD 4x8 and HD 4x9 - Who knows them better; Sennheiser or Headroom?

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the manufacturer too, but the graphs show such a big difference... Another problem is, we have no shops with that kind of return policy around here. Any portable Sennheiser aficionado out there?

Sennheiser HD 4x8 and HD 4x9 - Who knows them better; Sennheiser or Headroom?

I was looking for a cheap portable headphone I could pick up from an electronics store nearby. I decided on a pair of Senn's HD 428 mainly because I really liked the HD 448's sound, and according to Headroom's frequency response measurements the 428 and 448 are exactly the same, with the HD 438...

    Faulty MX880s everywhere? Possible replacement?

Bump. I dismissed the ideas above. My candidates now are: Sennheiser HD 438/Beyerdynamic DT 235. I'd like to know how they compare to each other and to Sennheiser MX 880 in SQ. Should I expect the abovo two to die as fast as my Senns?

    Faulty MX880s everywhere? Possible replacement?

I'm still quite lost but Sennheiser PX 200-II and AKG K319 seems like a good choice. I'm especially interested in a comparison between PX 200-II and the mx 880. Help me out here.

    Faulty MX880s everywhere? Possible replacement?

I have read many helpful articles on Head-Fi over the years and wanted to contribute with something for a while. However in the end I had to join the forum to get help again.   I bought a pair of Sennheiser MX 880s one and a half year ago based on this review, and I have been absolutely...
