New- Zishan Z1 DSD player thread
Just a word to the wise, do not do what I did and click "disable" under devices. It's now locked it an eternal tug of war when plugged in, this Zishan tries to self install and Windows 10 keeps removing it. I see it blink on and off every 5 seconds in "connected devices." It's at this point...- Sopranino

! That makes sense. Yesterday it works, today it shows in device manager but not in sound control panel. Status under "properties" say it seems to be working fine.- Sopranino

New- Zishan Z1 DSD player thread
A little help, I'm confused with the LED protocol. I think it was mentioned that the Z1 stops blinking when fully charged. On it's initial charge, my unit has been blinking for 12+ hours. Is the laptop just a slow charger? Closing the lid makes it solid blue, and if I reset the LED switch...- Sopranino

This steered me towards the LT1364. As a classical fan I think it might be really excellent! https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/eastern-electric-minimax-tube-dac-32-bit-dac.495800/page-39#post-7664509 Also, I used this to locate it online, be sure to add DIP to your search for all you newbs...- Sopranino

The word Zishan means "yew" according to google translate. I assume this means Chinese yew? It's a nice looking small tree. http://www.treetopics.com/taxus_chinensis/chinese_yew_1250855.png- Sopranino

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (On or Over Ear Headphones)
Great comparison! I was going to pull the trigger on the Marantz, but musician's friend seems to be out until 6/1. Probs for the best. Am interested in the MDH8500 based on looks alone. I'm looking for a solid comfortable match with my Zishan Z1 for going on long walks. One might infer from...- Sopranino

New- Zishan Z1 DSD player thread
I just purchased this unit from Gratituding Store. This will be my first DAP and I'll admit I'm a little concerned about quality control, having been screwed over by a shady AliExpress seller in the past. What are the chances of it being DOA (dead on arrival) or being messed up in a way I...- Sopranino
