Are there any impressions of a match of the HPA-21 and the HE-600?

Took the plunge and purchased a HD800 yesterday.After just one evening of listening paired with my Bakoon HPA-21 I am floored.There are many reviews singing the praises of this match, and now I know why.

I just picked up an HD800 today.The hype is valid, this match is sublime

You can imagine the headaches this has created for the dealers.Now I have to stay away from these boards for a few weeks so I don't change my mind again and switch back to the 3  I know, I'll go watch GODZILLA !

Apparently Audeze changed the yokes in order to lighten them up, the trickle down effect is all these crooked headphones.I already had another pair sent, same issue, it apparently happens while being shipped.I'll be sending these back and getting another pair in a few weeks as Audeze has seen...

And now the bad news.This pair might be the worst case of "crooked headphones" I have seen, and this is after I specifically requested they be checked for this very issue prior to shipping    I'm in total disbelief.

I know the prices, remember I had my Denon LA'ed.I won't go into detail regarding the communication issues, hopefully things have improved since 2011.

Maybe I'll inquire, though quality product aside, I wasn't happy with the communication last time.

How do you find the modified TH900? I've been considering a recable, but maybe I should consider the Lawton mod

Match the HPA-21 with the (Lawton modified) Denon AH-D7000,and you have a basshead's wet dream.I have been listening to that match exclusively the last week, and it's something to behold.

I agree 100% I felt the same "What have I done" when first listening to my LCDXC.Maybe it takes the ears a period of adjustment, because it is a presentation unique to Audeze.
