A little help with tips
I ordered a Westone UM1 from Earplugsuperstore.com and I also ordered a 5 pair pack of ety triflanges to go with it. The "smart" people at earplugsuperstore sent me triflanges with no stems that were meant for the ER6. I have a current order with them of an ER15 custom earplug that didn't fit...- slidemasterx

measure spl of IEM
The problem is that I don't have an spl meter and it's so difficult to find it in my area. Maybe someone here has tried it with an Iriver h320 and Westone UM1...- slidemasterx

measure spl of IEM
Hi, I read an old thread about guys who measured the highest level that you can play on your IEM before it gets dangerous. I don't have a decibel meter and there are no internet sites that currently ship decibel meters in the Philippines. I was wondering if someone here has tried measuring the...- slidemasterx

Triflanges
I just bought a pair of UM1's and Etymotic triflanges from Earplug super store and when I inserted the triflange into the UM1, I noticed that the Ety triflanges didn't have stems. Is this normal? Aren't they supposed to have stems? It was way too short for me without the stem. Thanks- slidemasterx

Ety or Shure Triflanges?
I checked earplug superstore for their prices and the Etymotic triflange was $14.95 for 5 pairs while the Shure was $26.95 for only 3 pairs. Is it worth spending more money for the shures? 3 pairs doesn't seem enough if you want to experiment with cutting off the stem and small flange and it...- slidemasterx

Ety or Shure Triflanges?
I have worn my Etymotic ER20 earplugs while performing and traveling for about a year now I have gotten used to the feel of them. The Ety triflanges are so much cheaper than the Shure ones. So correct me if I’m wrong here, if I modify the Ety triflange to be biflanges, I don’t need to cut the...- slidemasterx

Ety or Shure Triflanges?
Thanks for you replies. I'm ordering from the earplug superstore because I have an earplug which I sent back to be remade so when it comes back, the UM-1 can go with it with free shipping. So does the Ety flange fit on the UM-1? I think I read somewhere around here that it doesn't.- slidemasterx

ER6 with ER musicians filter molds?
Has anyone used an ER6 or ER6i with their Etymotic musicians earplugs? I have ER15 earplugs and this has made me reconsider if I should be getting the ER6 instead of other brands. How does the ER6 sound like with the ER molds compared to foam tips or flanges? Is the bass significantly better...- slidemasterx

Ety or Shure Triflanges?
I’m getting a Westone UM-1 and I’m planning to order some triflanges to go with it because I don’t like the idea of having to replace foam tips every few weeks. I was wondering, do Etymotic triflanges fit on the UM1? If not, are Shure triflanges the only choice left? Thanks- slidemasterx

Tinnitus - A cure?
When you say that tinnitus is aggravated by lack of sleep, caffeine, alcohol etc, does it mean that it will get worse in the long run, or is it just temporary? My tinnitus only becomes worse when I don't have enough sleep so could it possibly get worse even if I don't listen to loud music...- slidemasterx
