Hi, I read an old thread about guys who measured the highest level that you can play on your IEM before it gets dangerous. I don't have a decibel meter and there are no internet sites that currently ship decibel meters in the Philippines. I was wondering if someone here has tried measuring the levels of an Iriver h320 and a westone UM1. If so, please share your findings. thanks

The problem is that I don't have an spl meter and it's so difficult to find it in my area. Maybe someone here has tried it with an Iriver h320 and Westone UM1...

Slidemasterx, you might want to check again the post suggested by Skylab, I have added there further comments for those who do not have an SPL meter. Of course, the results won't be precise in that case, but only approximate.

I will also post there another method to obtain the SPL from the manufacter specs (well, that is something well know, I will do it just for completeness of the post), just using a multimeter. That won't be that accurate, again, but it gives at least general guidelines for a happy and safe listening.
