The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Thanks for the link, did not see it yet. But I think this a little bit too much for me. Afraid to break some of those tiny plastic switches. I better send it in.- Simma

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Hi guys, I'm having a problem with my transport buttons becoming unresponsive. Someone in the Rockbox thread suggested to open it up and put some card between the buttons and the switches for better responsiveness. My question is: Has anyone ever opened up the DX50? I've only managed to...- Simma

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Sorry for getting back to this again so late, but I've tried to open my unit and could only manage to open it from the back. I've tried to open the front but am afraid to break something. Right now I can only see the back of the board. Anyone who had the front opened already with a tip how...- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Thanks for the info. Could you tell me what kind of Rom you were using? Because I've tried XVolume on Sense once and I could change the volume steps to 45, but the volume only changed every third step. so effectively there were still only 15 steps. I've also read from a lot of people having...- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Now that the crackling issue is fixed and I can use my M8 again for music, does anybody know a way to really add more volume steps system wide. I tried xvolume for xposed once, but it wasn't working properly.- Simma

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Nevermind just checked on mango and it's also happening there. So it seems like a hardware fault. Is anyone else experiencing this?- Simma

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
I'm still having problems with the transport buttons (mainly skip forward) occasionally not working on first press. Sometimes I have to press it 4-5 times for it to work. Haven't used mango in a long time, but I remember not having these problems with it.- Simma

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Thanks for the new build cholero. Didn't have time to test it yet, but I very much like the idea of switching off the screen with the power button. Wouldn't like to do it with the hold button because I tend to keep the device unlocked so I can easily skip tracks without taking it out of my...- Simma

htc m8 with Westone w40, sennheiser momentum over- + on-ear, hd25-1, soundmagic hp100 = crackling Dx50, Sansa clip zip, headphone out of dj mixer (with all of the above mentioned gear) as well as active Rokit monitors, and several live PAs = completely free of any crackling Only IEMs that I've...- Simma

I'm using the 128gb SanDisk card without problems. It has been formatted in an Android phone before, I guess that's fat32.- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Again, my device is not revealing recording flaws it's just crackling on amp overload. If your unit is fine, I'm happy for you, but there's a lot of users reporting this problem who might be interested in the cause of it (or a fix for it).- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Yes, I think this noise is either caused by the youtube upload, or due to the production. With this track, the crackling is so obvious on my device (at loud, but not really deafening volume) that it's impossible to overhear. Now it would be interesting to know why some devices are affected...- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Then it might be true that there are really just a lot of defective units (I remember someone in this thread talking about huge variation in sound on different M8s), or you're just lucky because of your setup & music choice. Could you checkout this track with some kind of over ear...- Simma

New HTC One M8 audio review
Very unlikely, I think it's just the amp clipping. Else the M8 would be the only device that I've ever played my music on revealing those recording issues. The crackling appears on tracks from lots of different genres, from 1940s Jazz to 2014 EDM, and it's always the same sound.- Simma
