Not sure if this helps, but I use A+ with iTunes integrated. I only have a couple of DSD albums and I have added them to iTunes using A+ proxy files option. I can use the Remote app on the iPhone or iPad to control the music remotely ...   Maybe not as elegant a solution as JRiver's but it's...

I have my computer volume at full and the Vega at 100. Currently listening to Rolling Stones and the Taurus is just below 10 o'clock. It's loud enough for my current mood ;-)

Hi Chik0240,   thanks! Depending on the music, I have the volume on the Taurus between 10 o'clock & 11 o'clock position. I've rarely gone past the 12 o'clock position. I demo'ed it to a few family members and they can only handle between 8 and 9.   Thanks sanatacore and project86.  ...

So I finally got my new Taurus MKII amp to go with my Vega DAC which I got last month. This is the first time I've had the chance to use my LCD-3's in balanced mode. All I can say is "incredible", "stunning", "awesome".     A couple of weeks ago, I had almost decided to buy the Cavalli Audio...

Ok I found out how to get the Vega to upsample everything to 384KS. It was the "Forced Upsampling" setting in Audirvana, changed it to 'maximum sample rate' lets the Vega upsample to the maximum level. Unsure whether I should use this setting or turn it off and just playback the files at the...

Hi Guys,   I'm looking for some Vega setup answers from anyone using a Mac/MacBook with Audirvana. When I first got my Vega, I'm sure it was playing all PCM tracks at 384k. What I mean is the display always said 384KS, whether I played 16/44.1 or 24/96 or 24/192. I remember going into the...

I got my Vega from Igloo Audio. It was ex-demo so I got it a bit cheaper. They also offered me a ex-demo Taurus mkII at same time but I couldn't afford to get both at the time. Give them a call they might still have the ex-demo Taurus mkII. You could get it at a really good price.

I understand and feel the same, but I spent a few days last week browsing these forums and elsewhere online, and .... wow ..... the discussions seem to get way overheated way too quickly, so that there's nothing of value to gain from it, other than high blood pressure. And that's just from...

I'll wait and see what, if any, cable comes with the Vega and initially use that. Later I'll try to borrow or loan a few branded cables from some dealers and if I hear a difference I'll buy one that is affordable for me.   Like with anything else I believe cables can affect the sound...

Help choosing amp and dac for Audeze LCD-3 .. (WA22, WA6-SE...)

Ok here's an update: so after all the soul searching, indecisions and hair pulling, I have finally made the decision (quite unexpectedly) and made a start on my final system.   I have purchased the AURALiC Vega ..... It gets delivered next week! The AURALiC Taurus mkII and the Vega were on my...

Long time stalker of this thread and online reviews of Taurus/Vega. I bought Audeze LCD-3 several months ago and since then (on and off) have been trying to decide what amp/dac to get. Went through several options and still couldn't decide.   Last week my luck changed and I got an unexpected...

Did you use a SPDIF converter or was the source not a computer? If converter, then can I please ask which one?   thanks

Congratulations. I'm very happy for you and I'm sure you'll be even more happier with the Vega.

    Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread

I think I agree with that. To me analogue implies  natural, smooth, fluid, slightly warmish sound.
