Ending the LOUDNESS WARS!!!!!
I imagine it would be quite irksome if one owned high end audio equipment, a very high quality cd player etc, only to be playing incredibly compressed overly loud masters on it. Release cd's as audiophile masters, and release ipod junk as compressed overly loud garbage, that way everyone... -
Rate The Last Movie You Watched
Joe, starring Nicholas Cage, about a troubled guy who wants to do the right thing but has issues and can end up screwing things up for himself, like self destructive stuff etc. I dont' want to say too much about it, it was worth watching, was interesting, would watch it again definitely. Kind of...- Seifer01

Seiko is a great watch
Analog watches are the best... you can see what time it is, what time it was, and what time it's going to be. Smart phones and tablets, pah. You can't beat the simple elegance of a good wrist watch. And what are you going to do when your smart phone battery runs out? You're going to ask a...- Seifer01

What's Your Alcoholic Drink of Choice? // Drink Discussion
Good beer, preferably German, Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier is very good. When I just want to chill out with a movie I'll have a few bottles of Budvar Budweiser with a giant packet of southern barbecue crisps.- Seifer01

Top Gear
I've been a long time fan of the show. All good things must come to an end I suppose, it's just a shame it came to an end prematurely thanks to that ignorant but very entertaining oaf Clarkson. You just can't go around punching people, not even if you're Clarkson. Why didn't the producer just...- Seifer01

What are your most overall favorite games to play on Playstation 3 (PS3)?
I had loads of fun with Dirt 2, single player and multiplayer. I really enjoyed Mass Effect. Batman Arkham Asylum was great. Great graphics, great story, great gameplay. Dead Space, excellent, very atmospheric, good story and premise. Haunted house in space kinda deal. Another game that is...- Seifer01

Best classical recordings...ever!
Thanks :) That CD kind of looks like it would be rare for some reason lol. What is the availability of this disc? And the ones above for that matter? I like finding older discs, I bought a Star Wars Trilogy disc the other day (1990 Sony) the sound is excellent. It sounds much better than The... -
Best classical recordings...ever!
Thanks for these suggestions, now I can begin to properly ween myself off Beethoven haha. I started getting into classical a couple of years ago. My first classical purchase was Fricsay's 1958 Beethoven 9th. Now I have a few Beethoven discs... From Karajan, Fricsay... -
Best classical recordings...ever!
Maybe they went with Lenny because he was American. Nothing screams "The West" more than the USA. Bringing down the wall and ringing in the freedom is pretty American I reckon, lol. On the subject of Lenny, I'm fairly new to classical and I don't yet have a Bernstein CD, can anyone recommend me... -
*Official Schiit Magni/Modi 2 ( Uber ) Thread*
Okay, cheers peeps. I'll just get the Magni 2 Uber for now and I'll look at other options at a later date. I'm relatively new to headphone amps and stuff. I've used hifi stacks and mini systems, boomboxes, ipods, etc. over the years, so I'm not used to DAC's and transports and all that. It...- Seifer01

*Official Schiit Magni/Modi 2 ( Uber ) Thread*
I'm going to buy a Magni 2 Uber, and plug my CDP (Marantz CD 5004) straight into its input. Will adding the DAC make a massive difference? Also how does a CDP, Amp, DAC combo work? Will a CDP and Magni 2 sound good?- Seifer01

Integrated amp + headphones, questions.
Yeah ease of use is a priority. I just want a nice setup that I can easily switch between speaker listening and headphone listening. Right now I'm concentrating on the headphone part of it. I know someone with a pretty good setup, Nad stuff, pre amp, power amp, etc, Marantz CDP, Mordaunt...- Seifer01

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
"It's just the normal noises in here" I bought Damn the Torpedoes sometime last year on a whim, I really like the album.
