I will run some more tests on mine, but It's pretty apparent in nearly every single song that there's more bass coming from the left cup. Maybe this is only an issue on some peoples sets. Who knows, but it IS real. I love the sound of these and if I return it will probably be for another pair...

Yeah that's possible. Maybe we'll be hearing more about it as more impressions of these keep rolling in. For now I am honestly thinking about sending them back and maybe waiting for this issue to be resolved because It's quite annoying.

I have this issue as well with mine. It's subtle but its there. the left side is a tad bit stronger/louder and it can actually be really annoying in a lot of songs. I also thought maybe I was going insane but it looks like others are having the same issue.. I wonder if theres anyway we can fix...

I personally listen to mostly rock and metal and also some edm. With the types of the music you listen to I think you will definitely prefer the 770. The bass on them is far superior to the M50's in my opinion. Bigger soundstage as well. Way more comfortable than M50 also. Maybe not the best for...

X2 is great for this type of music. Just listened to this song and it sounded excellent.

Just wanted to chime in and say I've put roughly 30hours on these now and I love them! Also used them to play through the new Call of Duty game on Xbox One yesterday through a Yamaha receiver and they were fantastic there as well.

I'm listening to that track with DT770's  (Should have the X2 tomorrow) and I can definitely hear the pop/cracks your're talking about so I would say It's the track and not the X2's.
