On my Sony Z3 tablet I can change the destination folder by: Menu button top left > Settings > Offline section > Download Destination > Internal or memory card. It should be the same for your DAP.

  The Mojo remembers what volume you had last and does not reset when you turn it off.

I think they are referring to a lack of optical or digital coaxial output. It has a micro USB output (via OTG cable) Would be interesting to compare this to an Android phone or tablet connected to a Mojo to see if there is an audible difference / improvement.
