T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I’ve got a question re: the SolT aux jack and would love it if someone could correct my understanding here. I’ve been using the OIDIO Pellucid Plus cable that I got for my Shure AONICs back in the day, which goes from a 3.5 connector to a 2.5 connector. My understanding is that the 3.5 end...- ryanmatic

I would love to try them at some point! It sounds like they may be slightly more analytical and technically impressive in some ways.- ryanmatic

Yeah, that drama was absolutely stupid. I stopped checking both threads as I find that argumentative and insulting side of Head-Fi to be pointless. But I’m glad it’s subsided now. I still love my tan Px8s but they are not on the same level as these (which TBH is to be expected as both headphones...- ryanmatic

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
Ok, this is kind of a dumb post, but… I took a chance and picked up a pair of white SolT, feeling confident I’d enjoy them thanks to the numerous thoughtful comments in this thread but also secure knowing I could return if I didn’t. These sound ****ing amazing, both wirelessly and even though...- ryanmatic

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Definitely give them a try—the symbio foamies, aside from looking cool and orange, somehow manage to leave most of the upper range alone, which is great. Not something I can say from the times I've tried Comply, for example.- ryanmatic

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Xelento Gen 2 with the wireless neckband and Symbio F foamies blocks out far more noise for me than any ANC I’ve tried so far. Perfect for outdoors. I take very good care of my Xelentos and while they’re expensive, I find them versatile enough to use out of the house. TBH the most concern I...- ryanmatic

I super enjoy Symbio F foam ear tips for mostly the same reasons @holsen mentioned, but perhaps with less firmness.- ryanmatic

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Oof, sorry to see it happened to you as well. Maybe try using a spudger to gently push it back in? Sounded like that worked for folks earlier in this thread. Such a dumb point of failure.- ryanmatic

Great impressions, thank you for sharing! Agreed with everything re: Px8 and P7W. Couple of additional thoughts: you might try fiddling with the fit a bit, with respect to the first issue you mentioned. I've found the effect changes quite a bit when wearing them tilted a bit forward vs. tilted...- ryanmatic

You can, but you’re assuming that one re-encode of a high quality AAC would ever be perceptually noticeable. Additionally, lossless files (regardless of tier) will place a higher load on bandwidth and battery.- ryanmatic

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
I personally agree in that I wouldn't wear headphones bigger than the Px8 when out and about, but I think there's still a market for large, home-focused wireless ANC headphones. I think of it a bit like an iMac compared to a MacBook Pro. The markets may not be the same size-wise, but they both...- ryanmatic

Mine turn back on automatically when I wear them shortly after auto-shutoff, which makes me assume that their standby mode uses some battery compared to being fully powered off.- ryanmatic

Always hard to get a sense for how frequent an issue is. Regardless, enjoy your Px8s! They're a lot of fun.- ryanmatic
