The new Zune software (Version 2.X) thread

The software is so bad, I'm really considering getting an IPOD. Being able to have custom genres is everything to me, and they took that away by not having an advanced tag editor. Even when I rip a CD using WMP, change the genre to what I want, then sync using Zune, it sometime ignores my...

    JVC FX33 Mod.

I haven't done the mod on the FX33's, but did replace the stock tips with some ebay replacement tips for the Shure E2c or Senn CX300 on my FX32's. They are now much more comfortable, and actually stay in my ears, unlike before. Soundwise, I feel the highs have suffered a small bit, but...

Most common headphone in your area?

I don't understand how anyone can listen to those ibuds, and at the levels that they play them at, they have no idea what they are doing to their hearing. If they just spent some money on some quality cans, they wouldn' have to play them so loud. I was in a meeting the other morning, and a...

    Is a "Headphone Collection" stupid?

Please... women are the biggest collector's of worthless items. Think about this, Say you buy a $300 pair of cans. Two years later, you decide to sell said cans, and upgrade. You should be able to get $150-175 for those, to put towards the next set. Your friend goes and spends $300 for a...

    CDP Impact on Sound Quality

"Audiophiles" always have excuses as to why YOU don't hear a difference. You heard what you heard, and let that be the end of it. A Quote from someone I truly respect who is an expert in the audio reproduction industry (SH): "If the audiophile magazines acknoledged that the electronics...

Home Theater In A Box... $500?

you're not going to find a receiver with HDMI for any less than $800, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just run the HDMI from the DVD player to the TV, and an optical or digital coax cable from the DVD to the receiver. I would Definitely hold off on the center channel for now. It isn't a...

Home Theater In A Box... $500?

For receivers, check out the onkyo 603 from www.accessories4less.com, for $269 plus shipping, it can't be beat IMO. Or the Marantz SR4600 for $279. For a DVD player, You really don't need to spend more than 50-60 dollars to get quality nowadays. Unless you want an upconvert player, which is...

    Problems with toy r us

That is the dumbest advice I've ever heard. For one, I'm sure those things are locked up like King Tut's gold, and secondly, they would call the police genius. How stupid would he look sitting in county because he didn't want a certain color Nintendo DS. I'm sure the fellas in lock up would...

    Audio Technica Cans-M30's, M40's, or M20's??

I would definitely not walk around with the M40s, my head gets hot just sitting still in them, so I couldn't imagine walking around in 70-80 degree tempartures in them. Also, they are somewhat large, so I would look elsewhere than the M40 for portable use.

    Problems with toy r us

As long as I've been playing video games, no retailer that I know of has ever allowed the return of a video game system or game after the seal has been broken. Knowing that, why would you buy one knowing you wouldn't like it the first place?
