Denon MM400 replacement cable. Where to get one? Please!

I owned the Denon MM400 headphones. Hated the cable, as we all do.   Somewhere on Ebay or Amazon in the world you can find this seller, (Chinese based) with global shipping:   low20101020   I've bought a few braided and also rubber cables and they're all excellent quality.   Now, the...

Master & Dynamic MH40 Over Ear Headphone

Yes. I agree. I should have explained the bottom end better, sorry.   I currently favour the Shure SRH940 for studio work - well defined clear-as-day mids and a BIT like the MH40, subs are there but musical unlike the MH40, I can hear what the low notes actually are (a low B or a low C?) and...

Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

All good points. I will add though, being in music production myself, that "loudness" also diminishes quality: dynamics are squashed. This is partly in an attempt to stand out on radio etc but also because lower end bitrates in mp3 encoding introduce artefacts in very quiet material. Mastering...

Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

New upload from Deerhoof. The beauty of low-end very specific audio recording. This is an engineer's dream retro drum sound. It would never work even slightly in most songs but with Deerhoof - beautiful. https://youtu.be/CHP3hTNVqKM Apart from the sweet drums, it's as peculiar as you should...

    Debunk the Yamaha MT220 Myth

if you know basic soldering, do what I did. CUT the cable at the ear end (cut it off the curly beginnings) and add a 1/8th FEMALE jack. Now you can use any headphone extension lead you want.   DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT SOLDERED MANY TIMES BEFORE   Get someone else to do it. Oh wait...

    Debunk the Yamaha MT220 Myth

Sorry for the late reply - I was doing several things.   I love the MT220 but they are very different to my Mofi. One is more for work (bit boring sound, Mt220) and one is for enjoying music hyped up a bit (mofi and I the Lola).   Interesting that the audio shortcomings you find in the Lola...

    Debunk the Yamaha MT220 Myth

Thanks! I wondered about the Lola but thought it was just a lighter-weight Mofi without the amp. I'll have to try them. Although... my Mofi is the review model, not the retail one, and I'm not sure if there are differences other than the glossy finish. All I know is on my Mofi the amp is too...

Sony 100 AAP is great - check the forums here.   I LOVE the Blue Mofi bit it's rather more pricey.

Master & Dynamic MH40 Over Ear Headphone

I returned mine (MH40, tan). They were exquisitely made but sounded very SHOUTY and bottom end was lacking. Kind of irritating to listen to. Stop shouting music at me!   I had some conversations with them and I hope they'll be addressing the brashness in future headphones.

    Sony h.ear on MDR-100AAP - $199 'Hi-Res Audio' Over-Ear Headphones

Mate, there is nothing wrong with the MDR 10R - they are fine. It's a good headphone. Top end clarity (highs) is not perfect but better than any beats will do. You got a really great deal. Don't sell them. Enjoy them, they sound pretty good. The 100AAP cost more and they sound better but that's...

    Yamaha hph mt220 thread (Merged)

I disagree - the MT220 is wonderful but it is not a fast punchy headphone. That's why I use it extensively in recording. If it was punchy I'd end up doing things wrong in recording. I don't. It is gentle with presentation, a little unrealistically so, with a rolled off top (not losing anything...
