Good catch on this. Can confirm that disabling Sound Assistant app seems to fix the problem. Unfortunate as Sound Assistant has some really useful features I like to use but will keep it disabled in the meantime. Upgraded back to latest firmware.. smooth sailing.

I went ahead and submitted a ticket regarding this today as well. Just wanted to point out again that I have no issues whatsoever on firmware 1.39, so I am convinced this bug was introduced on the newer firmwares and should certainly be fixable by iFi.

What's the general consensus about call quality while connected to the Go Pod's? While main use case is of course music it'd be nice not to have to completely disconnect from the Pods if needing to take phone calls mid session.

Did you do a reset (hold button on case for about 12 seconds while earhooks are in case), unpair/re-pair to your device, etc? AFTER the firmware update? Mines been pretty rock solid so far but only after I did a reset (simply upgrading to the new firmware didn't seem to be enough I guess)...
