A little luv for Bruce Hornsby
Found him when listening to "China Doll" from "Harbor Lights" by a chance and just loved the drum sound. Branched out from there and I'm now a fan, and mind you, this was as late as a couple of months ago. It sure is fun discovering great musicians. Cheers! -
Anybody out there hear CCM?
Don't know if they were mentioned in the thread, but Whiteheart (White Heart) was a great christian rock band. I'm not christian myself but the texts with the music form a wonderful marriage. Powerful ballads, up-tempo rockers and slick pop. Cheers! -
80s Music Suggestions?
Must give my support to Whiteheart and Michael Sembello. Slick production and wonderful songs. For the modern soft man. -
The 80's music nostalgia thread
I really can't stop listening to Marc Cohn and Michael Sembello. The latter's "Caravan of Dreams" is perfect for the modern soft man. -
Epoz Aktimate Mini refurbished on sale very cheap in the UK
Have them and love them. Getting some extra juice from a NUFORCE HDP but they're fine on their own. The handling of voices is phenomenal. Got an accompanying sub but it really isn't needed. Highly recommended, and yes, they put the A5s to shame.- Ogdoaden

Sennheiser IE8 questions
Could someone describe the highs on the IE8 for me? It seems like a good rock/pop IEM, but I just don't know if I can take hidden highs a la SM3.- Ogdoaden

So I found headphone nirvana now if I can just do the same from an IEM perspective.
I'd like to cement the reputation of Denon AD-H1001. When listening to them I never think: "What is missing?". The music speaks for itself. I also think it benefits from not having ultra high resolution. I'll never part with this particular headphone. Cheers!- Ogdoaden

IEM closest to Denon D7000?
Could it be that a dynamic driver is the way to go when looking for that special timbre, which I think Denon could be said to have? Which killer dynamic IEMs are there (Sony EX1000, Sennheiser IE8, MT, FX700 and so on...)?- Ogdoaden

If I like the Denon D7000 which custom IEM should I get?
I'm also on the hunt for this kind of IEM. Listening to the SM3 v2 doesn't do it for me when I've learned to love the Denon signature. JVC FX700 seem to be what could mirror the soul of the D7000.- Ogdoaden

Any IEMS that sound like the Denon D2000 or Ultrasone HFI-780?
I would also want an answer to this question. Wouldn't mind if the comfort also was the same.- Ogdoaden

Beyers...
Are Beyers anything like Denons? Forward mids are fatiguing to my ears and don't mind them being "recessed".- Ogdoaden

Which IEM?
Which modern IEM would you say represent the Denon signature without actually being a Denon?- Ogdoaden
