I think the HD681F would be closer to the AKF K701/702 sound rather than an ATH M50. I found a HD669 on ebay, but dunno if they will restock... and I saw something saying that the 681s are now out of production.   i sad.

*shrugs* they've performed pretty well for me. I know it's not saying much, but they stand up to Beats. Good amp, I can use it to pick out 80% of instruments in a reasonably big orchestra.
