I have QC45s which are the most comfortable closed backs I have had. I have resisted the ultras so far due to a lot of reviews citing warm ears. I hate that and is one of the reasons I don't own the Sony ear cooke... Sorry Sony XMs as every version of those I have owned have cooked my ears...

My best guess when I had this issue was the player switching formats between each track as the same files streamed from my NAS to my streamer have no click, I only experienced it when playing the data disk in my SACD player. Your theory is interesting and if true would mean that it is not...

Really interested in these but the reports of creaking are a worry and probably a show-stopper TBH. I had this on Sony XM3s and 4s and had to return them, I often use my headphones while walking so cannot have a knocking or creaking. Tried the M5s but honestly found them a little muddy so...

I am starting to think that mine may be faulty. I have a good seal but the ANC is really not good, for example when used out walking I can hear birds tweating or my even my feet on the footpath, they are not great. P.S Yes I have checked transparency mode!

I got my APP2 this week and have been disappointed with the ANC, they sound better than the APP1 for sure but I am not sure the ANC is any better. I also have the new Bose buds and they are in a different league to the APP2, it is not even close.

I did something simiar when I had them! Ultimately though I decided to sell them and get the QC45. Happy with the QC45s even if I do have half on eye on those new B&Ws!

Developer settings will only tell you what LDAC setting is active, it will not tell you the bitrate if best effort is selected.

Interesting, when I had the S22 ultra it would play 990 but I did have the occasional skips not as bad as the smaller which was basically unplayable. I did have to dive into developer settings every time I connected the headphones though as the setting never stuck and it reverted back to best...

I recently sold my Sony M5s and PX7s and picked up the QC45s and am happy. To be clear they are not the best sounding wireless over-ears and the limited codecs is a shame especially if you use android but honestly with a little EQ they sound pretty good and better than I remember the QC35s...

Early reviews are hit and miss. I sold my carbons in the end as I just found them a little muddy, I have M5s now and am not totally happy with those either as they are a little congested.
