"Drops of Jupiter" by Train
I am with MacDEF. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area we are certainly overindulged with the music of Train, being as they hail from this area. I have their first album, but as yet have not succumbed to the Drops of Jupiter album. However since Jude's review I think I will. I think it is...- Music Lover

Matchup: CD3000 vs. HD 600 vs. RS -1
sackley, I found the 600's a little too laid back for me, but spiced-up with the addition of a DAC. The RS-1's really didn't give me enough stimulation to warrant the price, but may be great with your set-up (less treble response than the 225's, more defined bass). The 3000's sound...- Music Lover

MI Terminator 6?
chych, I recently auditioned the Homegrown "Silverlaces" and I found them to be very bright to the point of exhaustion. However I haven't tried the "Super Silvers". If you are looking for a good match for the DT-831's I would stay away from the silver cables. I am thoroughly enjoying the... -

Has anyone heard Pete Yorn's "Music for the Morning After" ?
I was in Best Buy the other day and happened across this album. It was priced at $9.99 as some kind of artist introduction deal. The album is great. Pete Yorn has a kinda David Gray quality about him with a Duncan Sheik sultriness, coupled with a David Byrne twang. He writes both the...- Music Lover

Is Anyone Familiar with the NAXOS label?
At least I know I am not the only one here enjoying Naxos recordings! They actually have a pretty good Web Site which allows you to register for their monthly newsletter. The newsletter is sent in e-mail form and provides complete updates of recordings in process and new releases. I agree...- Music Lover

Have you ever purchased any product from headroom before?
I have had the pleasure of dealing with Todd at Headroom on a couple of occasions. Each time the service and advice was superb. Even during a couple of TA problems I had Todd was cordial and amusing and always customer oriented in his approach. Hey I think my UPS story beats 'em all. They...- Music Lover

Appropriate amp for 225/325 and 580/600 level of headphones
Hi scdavis, My entry to the headphone world was also the SR-80's! I have been a Creek OBH-11 owner for quite a while now (which I opted for after disappointments with the TA), there is no doubt that it is a great little amp for under $200. However, I found the Creek to be a damper for the...- Music Lover

Calling all dinosaurs
I was living in England during 1963 & 1964, and trust me when I say "Yellow Submarine" became totally obnoxious! - Mike Oldfield "Tubular Bells" - Alice Cooper "Welcome to My Nightmare" - David Bowie "Space Oddity" & "Ziggy Stardust" - Roxy Music "Avalon" - Steely Dan "Aja" - Elton John...- Music Lover

Why do people have such different opinions about headphones?
LOL...Maybe it would be a good idea for us each to illustrate in our profiles:- - Ear infections we had as children. - Tonsilectomies - Adenoid removal - etc. The we could get a "true" idea of each person's auditory inadequacy and go from there... Just a thought!- Music Lover

Senn HD580 or Beyer DT931?
I am a Sony MDR CD3000's lover. However they are closed, and have caused some hair-raising moments and missed phone calls. I was looking for an open phone that would create a lively response with tight bass and some punch. The Senn 600's were a little too laid-back for my tastes so I...- Music Lover

Anyone here like the album Legend by Bob Merly and the Wailers ?
What I love about music today is that everyone is now involved! When I was young (back in the dark ages), you rarely if ever saw people older than 25 in a record store. Now during my frequent browsings I see seniors of all ages enjoying a good search through the genres. What is more, many of...- Music Lover

Just got my Sony CD3000s. What's the burn-in time?
Give those puppies at least 50 hrs. before making any kind of judgement, and 100 hrs. for a real feeling for their abilities.- Music Lover
