[FiiO UTWS5] True Wireless Bluetooth Earhooks as Usual,Coupled with Independent AK4332 DAC

I got mine last month and I've used them less than 10 times. Updated the software. Yesterday I opened the box to show them to my wife, closed the box. After that it randomly started connecting to my laptop. Repositioned them, hit disconnect and still from time to time kept connecting to my...

    Focal Elear - Impressions Thread

hello friends, I've had a dead driver for over a year, didn't get the warranty after buying it second hand. anyway, last time I msg focal's customer service they said they'd replace both drivers for 400something euros. do you guys know if the prices have gone down? or if there's a site where I...

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

they're not propietary I think the terminations are 2,5 right now can't check (same terminations as the Denon d600, can use those cables) I also changed it right away, the stock cable is too rigid and short but I'm using one from eBay China like 20€

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

if feels like it's between the ears it's small but it's weirdly accurate or detailed, don't know how to explained it (felt that with the elear also) like you can't locate instruments from left to right + up down really good

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

what I dontd like about the elegia is the soundstage. it's the smallest I've heard so far in a pair of headphones

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

ugh I haven't had any luck so far replacing pad (well yes with the he400 when they came up with the newer ones) I'll just use the original pads

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

those don't change the sound signature (besides the bass)? also they come with the ring to replace them directly? or you had to use some double tape

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

I think they react great to eq. I listen metal>rock>jazz>rap, I find the bass more than enough (actually after reading the reviews I was like What these are bass "light"?) after a couple of months I'm completely used to the sound signature. going from this to the denon d600 it's really weird...

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

it's weird to be calling a 900€ pair of headphones mid fi but that how the market has evolved I didn't tried the others but I like the focal's voicing. I like the dynamics and instrument separation I don't get from other brands

Focal Elegia - what do you think?

I just got the elegias on the mail first impressions (opinions, not "facts"): - the cable it's terrible as people say. mainly because of the rigidity. changed it after 10 minutes - the are tighter than the elears but still can use them for hours - they feel hotter than all my other headphones...

nah I'll get something else less prone to sudden death, what's the point still thinking about getting this one fixed, maybe find someone that tries to repair them

I asked again, the guy said he won't try to repair it. he just offers me the replace both drivers option. won't replace just 1 but both, because that's what focal recommends. I don't know about this, spending 500€ to repair a pair of headphones that cost me 600€ I think (or 650? can't remember)

what if I buy a driver by myself and install it. or is it difficult to repair the dead driver? can I do it myself?
