I always thought that fun sound meant more vibrant and dynamic, as if the (the sounds from) instruments are hitting you from all over the place, enjoyable. Boring sound must be flat, etc.   What I don't like are the acronyms, like IMO, IMHO and IIRC <- what does it mean anyway?
