Hey, I live in Seoul, and there is a company called Sound Cat, which sells IEMs and customs and pretty much all the high-end earpieces in Korea. http://soundcat.com/ Directions: http://allas.soundcat.com/61 They will do free molds if you buy a custom from them...- minjae0810

Samsung galaxy S2 vs IPhone 4
I have the Galaxy S and the iPhone 4. I don't have a Galaxy S II, but most people say that it's worse than the first one, and to my ears, using Westone UM3X and Westone 3, the iPhone sounds better than the Samsung Galaxy S. The Galaxy has less detail and worse bass extension. It's...- minjae0810

Shure SRH840 or Audio-Technica ATH-M50
Shure SRH840 sounds really good beyond their price. I don't know about the ATH M50's but I can really recommend the Shures. The bass on it is really good too; it's not boomy but there's plenty of it, and it just sounds really clear and engaging. I think anyone would like the...- minjae0810

The bassist IEM's you have ever heard Put Them Here!!!
UM3X has really deep, detailed and tight bass. I have both the IE8 and UM3X, and IE8 definitely has more of it and it can go deeper, but UM3X sounds better overall- minjae0810

<$600 Amp for Beyer T1
Wow, thank you all. I ordered a Valhalla from Schiit. The reviews generally seemed to suggest that it would be a nice match, and it looks nice ;) If I like it, I might get the Lyr when it comes out. I couldn't get the payment to work on woo audio, so I gave up :'( but I...- minjae0810

<$600 Amp for Beyer T1
Woo audio sounds great, but I can't seem to pay through paypal because my cards are from Korea, etc. Are there any other options? How are the m-stage matrix and little dot amps?- minjae0810

<$600 Amp for Beyer T1
Hello Head-fi, I recently purchased a Beyerdynamic T1, but I don't have an amp to drive it. I'm trying to listen to it with FiiO E9, but it just doesn't sound good enough for me. I've read though hundreds of posts and threads, but most of them are leading me to >$800 amps like...- minjae0810

Lossless files and stuff
Quote: Yay I got it correct! I usually go with V0, not lossless, mostly because I have too many songs and it gets a little too hard to manage when I make them all lossless :S- minjae0810

Lossless files and stuff
Quote: That's a little harsh... Jailbreaking is a threat to the security of your iDevice, and it can actually make your experience worse (lags, battery draining, crashes, etc) and Apple's build quality seems a whole lot better than most companies.- minjae0810

Most annoying terminology used by audiophile today?
I always thought that fun sound meant more vibrant and dynamic, as if the (the sounds from) instruments are hitting you from all over the place, enjoyable. Boring sound must be flat, etc. What I don't like are the acronyms, like IMO, IMHO and IIRC <- what does it mean anyway?- minjae0810

Does anyone else share this feeling?
Quote: I totally agree. Music feels so much better and human and intimate(?) when you can hear the instruments being played; i.e. the finger touching the guitar strings, the soft noise that comes from pianos when the thing hits the strings, etc most korean music is like...- minjae0810

is it just me or is there more going on in the right channel?
Thanks for the replies. I tried other IEM's, other cables, and other sources, and when I just about concluded that it's either placebo or just my left ear having bad shape, I realized that the sensations that I get when I pull my UM3X out from my right and left ear were different...- minjae0810

is it just me or is there more going on in the right channel?
I've always been noticing that different stuff were put on the left and right channel of a music recording to separate the instruments, for example, the snare on the right and the guitar on the left, and the hi hats are often on the right What I've been feeling recently is that there is...- minjae0810

good sounding mp3-player for a more specific case
I don't think iPod Classic has bad sound... S9 is also a nice choice, too With an iPod you get the convenience of iTunes, ease of use and just the nice iPod Experience and with S9, you get customizable UI, EQ and beautiful OLED screen. If you've never used iTunes before, and enjoy...- minjae0810

I really want to pick up the new nano, but I have a few questions left. Can someone please make it clear if the new nano sounds better then the 80GB classic? Also, can someone tell me if the touch sound better than the nano or is it the other way? thanks.- minjae0810

New Apple In-Ear Headphones
wow you guys are getting so angry over this.. we shouldn't just judge this just from the price and that little graph. there is always something with crappy specs that sound great or vice versa right?
