Audio fuzz white noise with USB powered X12 headset
I have a Turtle Beach X12 headset with a little built in USB powered amp. I've tried multiple USB sources, even plugging it into a separate outlet with a cell phone charger. No matter what it is plugged into I hear a soft fuzz, like white noise. Adjusting volume doesn't make a difference, in...- mindouglas

Another help choosing IEM for iPhone 3G
Thought I would post a follow up since I've had these for a few months now. I commute 5 days a week by bike. The ride is short but these things have been through snow, sleet, rain, etc and held up fantastically. They sound great and are great at drowning out wind noise on the bike. I use them on...- mindouglas

Another help choosing IEM for iPhone 3G
the nuforce sound great. unfortunately the shipping was horrible, they threw the box in a USPS envelope so it came crushed. they turned out ok though and I'm enjoying them a lot. very nice balanced sound.- mindouglas

Another help choosing IEM for iPhone 3G
I ordered the NE-7m's, I hope they're as awesome as the reviews state. Sounds like I can't go wrong and the controls should come in handy.- mindouglas

Another help choosing IEM for iPhone 3G
I'm leaning towards the Senn CX 400 now because of their price and good reviews. Plus I have a pair of Senns I really enjoy.- mindouglas

Another help choosing IEM for iPhone 3G
I'm looking to buy a decent pair of ear canal/IEM for my iPhone 3G. I jog and cycle so something that stays in place would be nice, but I want it to sound better than "sport" models usually do. I like bass to accompany my music not over power it. I could care less about sound controls but I have...- mindouglas

IEM under $50 for iPhone 3G
Thanks, I like a pretty full sound from all ranges, not particularly bassy or heavy. the price is certainly right though if they put out that kind of sound. Great-Sounds.com- mindouglas

IEM under $50 for iPhone 3G
I just got a new iPhone 3G and what better to compliment it then a new pair of IEM. I currently use a really cheap pair of phillips I got in a pinch because the buds that come with the phone are horrible. I listen to a lot of electro (Justice, Danger, MSTRKRFT), dance, house, nurave/newrave(?)...- mindouglas

PC -> Live! 24bit -> what receiver?
I recently moved and my PC went from connecting to my TV to down stairs in the basement. I used to have my PC connected to my receive a Pioneer VSX-815 through my Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit. I used the SPDIF connector (Vista drivers do not work for optical out) and listened to flac at...- mindouglas

Live!24 external & 24/96?
I used the SPDIF on the rear to my receiver. the drivers in vista aren't setup to use optical out, or I need an updated driver. but you have to use SPDIF or Optical and you need to set that as your default in your OS as well. 24-bit/96kHz will only output from digital. you can configure it for...- mindouglas

Live!24 external & 24/96?
yes u can. I use mine thru my PC and connect to my receiver which has a digital input for 24-bit. I get 96kHz sound out of it. Flac sounds amazing! depending on your headphones though you'll want to use some sort of amp or receiver. I didn't know my lil HD555's were this good until I connected...- mindouglas

where to test headphones in Denver CO?
I saw the meet but its a limited venue, 20 people isn't a whole lot. I bought my Senns at Ultimate Electronics, but the HD555's we're the best ones they had. I love them, but I want to listen to some closed vs open as well.- mindouglas

Where's a good place that has a nice selection of higher end cans in Denver? Particularly that allows you to listen to your own audio, and amp'd?- mindouglas
