Shure SRH1540 Review
I might have to try that! I don't wear these headphones outside of my home so appearance isn't all that important.- matt27

Shure SRH1540 Review
What are you using for your headband? Looks like foam taped to it? Does that work well? The two "pads" on my pair have completely come off. I tried super gluing them back on but that didn't hold for long. I am kinda desperate to find a new solution!- matt27

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I've had these headphones a few months now and I absolutely love them. I haven't used my other cans at all since getting these. However, sometimes I really need a closed back because of noise. Also, with summer coming up, my air conditioner will be going full blast, so there may be times where...- matt27

Shure SRH1540 Review
I just remembered that I had a 15' Canare headphone extension cable in my closet. I seem to remember it degrading the sound when using with another pair of headphones, but I can't tell a perceptible difference with the Shures.- matt27

Shure SRH1540 Review
I just picked up a pair of SRH1540s, and I was worried because I have a large head, but they fit just fine. Being bald probably helps. The cable is too short for my needs though. Can anyone suggest a longer replacement cable that won't cost an arm and a leg? I see a lot of cables on ebay...- matt27

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
sorry to bump this but I would really like to know if anyone else has this or if I have a defective set. You can barely press on the right earcup and you can hear it creaking/flexing. The left earcup is solid with no creaking or flexing whatsoever. I can hear a creaking or crackling sound...- matt27

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
I'm trying to decide between MDR-Z7 and the DT-1770. These would be used primarily for blu-rays and PS4/PC gaming. I've demoed the Z7s and was very impressed, but I've not heard the 1770s in person. If anyone happens to own/owned both what are your thoughts? I currently use the dt770 pro 80 but...- matt27

dt770 pro - 80 vs 250 (mostly for movies)
I currently use Ultrasone pro 900s plugged into my Yamaha rx-v371 receiver for blu-ray watching and pc/console gaming. They sound fine but they really become uncomfortable and fatiguing after wearing them for an extended time. I recently tried my nephew's dt770 pro/80s through my receiver...- matt27

Headphones you regretted buying the most
Denon D2000- Not because of the sound quality, they sounded great. but they broke in less than 6 months, and I treated them like a baby.- matt27
