Amp for Shure 1840
Ah okay... I have just read from people who have had the T1 that the amp in it is not very good and that if you already have a dac the Vali is a way superior amp. I have also read that the tube has no effect on the amp in the T1 but only on the dac. As I am not really looking for a dac but an...- MadsSK

Amp for Shure 1840
@Me x3 - What do you think about the Schiit Vali for my Shure 1840s? I might get the Aune T1 to use as an dac with the Vali later. /Mads- MadsSK

Yet another Audio-Technica ATH-M50x vs Sennheiser HD 598SE thread
I totally understand why you are overwhelmed! I am currently looking for a new headphone amp for my Shure 1840s and I feel the same :/ Anyways, owning the HD518 and M50X, i agree that the HD518 is more comfortable out of the box. I however just got a new pair own earpads (from brainwaves for...- MadsSK

Yet another Audio-Technica ATH-M50x vs Sennheiser HD 598SE thread
I think the m50x is a great option! You will not need a amp for them which make them a lot cheaper compared to some of the headphones on the list you have now. I am not saying that the m50x is the greatest (that is a matter of taste) but i do think they deserve to be on the list. Also if it is...- MadsSK

NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
The thing is that I do like my Shure's a lot! I love the mids and the highs and I am NOT looking for a pair of "Bass head Cans". I just want to feel the bass a bit more in the low end. Also I have tried using an eq but I feel that it makes the sound across the whole range muddy and worse. As I...- MadsSK

Amp for Shure 1840
Thanks @DrKC , but the Schiit Moljinir is a bit out of my price range. Do you have another suggestion for something a bit cheaper? I am considering the Schiit Vali or Asgaard as good options?- MadsSK

NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
Hi Head-fi members, I was wondering if you think that the Schiit Vali would go well with my Shure SRH1840 ? They are 65 ohms so I am dont know if the impedance is too low to use with this amp. I am interested in an amp which will add some warmth to the sound without removing from the...- MadsSK

The Audio-Technica AD500X are cool but I actually meant to recommend the Audio-Technica AD700X. They have a great soundstage! Look at some reviews on this site! All the best! /Mads- MadsSK
