    Klipsch's NEW line of Reference X IEMs (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i)

I have earlier on with different headphones.  I haven't really had a good time with foam eartips however, extremely hard for me to insert for some reason and wasn't really working well for me.  I ever have a hard time with normal foam ear plugs.   I haven't really had any issues with...

    Klipsch's NEW line of Reference X IEMs (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i)

Some additional thoughts to add on to my x20i assessment...   I hate the apple mic / control.  It's useless to me anyway since I never use Apple products, however I find its location on the cable to be rather annoying.  And trying to roll the headphones up neatly, it's hard to do with that...

    Klipsch's NEW line of Reference X IEMs (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i)

Ok, I got the headphones.  But not before Amazon first shipped me a large Klipsch center channel speaker that had a sticker on it that labeled it as the x20i.  Had to return that and order again through a different seller other than World Wide Audio.     These things are smaller than the...

    Klipsch's NEW line of Reference X IEMs (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i)

I'll certainly be making very critical comparisons in comfort between the two.  The wider body looks concerning, but I feel as though if any larger headphone can compete against the x10 in terms of comfort it's probably the x20i.  Otherwise it's probably hopeless, lol.  We shall see~

    Klipsch's NEW line of Reference X IEMs (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i)

It would seem that the x12i sounds the same as the x11i, x10i and x10.  Those are all generally the same thing but look visually different with some minor tweaks.  Each seems to start at about $350 then when discontinued decrease in price.  The x10 can be found for a little over $100 on...

    The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

I am also using a Trancend card.  I've never had stuttering issues on any firmware version except 1.5.0, though very random and usually far between occurrences.   1.2.8 has no stutter issues.   I believe every firmware version on any sd card type is capable of freezing.  It tends to start...

I had some stuttering issues in 1.50, though that isn't what got me to go back to 1.2.8, which I am on now.  1.2.8 still seems to be ibasso's finest dx50 firmware to date with a gapless feature that works correctly.

Regarding hi-res, I can hear differences from a hi-res album and low res rips of a differently sourced original.     However I haven't been able to tell any difference when I take my hi-res copy and create my own new 16/44 copy out of it.  After performing this test with various songs I...

MP3's don't natively support gapless playback, whereas flacs do.  On a different note, I consider the ibasso players to be almost exclusively portable flac players, when I listen to mp3s I don't expect them to be gapless at all.  However the dx50 does attempt to merge mp3s together as close...

But the EQ does affect the sound of the coaxial output.  It's what I am saying, you can use the internal DX50 EQ to modify the way the sound going out the coaxial cable is.  So it gets processed from the software first as it gets converted to PCM.  If it was a bitstream of DTS or Dolby...

Not too sure what point you're trying to get across.  However, upon connecting it again to my receiver right now it appears the dx50 volume has no effect on the coaxial output, however the EQ definitely does take effect.

I can't hear the differences with the headphone out between firmware as others seem to be able to. However, if there are differences I imagine they will probably pass through the coaxial much the same considering that the EQ settings and volume both pass through the coaxial.  So the audio...

Yup, definitely an IEM guy.  While generally I prefer the sound of full size headphones, I don't really have a situation as to where I would want to use them as when I'm not on the move I resort to full size speakers.  Living alone in a house allows me to make all the noise I want :)   So...

I've been trying... lol.  Tried two different pair of headphones, one of which I really loved the sound of without any EQ.  But had to return them for being too uncomfortable.  I've been spoiled by comfort.  Keeping my eyes open for trying things that may sound good with a reasonable...
