 I have the LCD-2, don't have the Soloist, was planning to buy that amp because of the recommendations I read when searching for an amp for the LCD-2.

Short question.   Which DAC has good synergy with LCD2.2-F and Soloist? Or is a Mjolnir/Gungnir better for the money?

Those headphones do cost alot more than for instance the DT770, do they have equal or better comfort/noise isolation.   How about the isolation between the full-size (DT770, ATH-M50x) compared to the on-ears?

Can you explane to me what the basic function of a DAC is? I thought that the DAC is used when connected to a desktop/laptop as soundcard.
