Sound Rhyme impression thread
For your genres the DTE900 makes more sense, I would recommend. The SR8 might be better all rounder. You wont be disappointed with any of them. Good luck- krenky

Depends on what you prefer. The SR8 is more neautral one with amazing technicalities and lot of details. Its more mature iem perfect for classical, instrumental music but still a lot of fun for edm. In my case I like to use EQ but for SR8 there is hardly any customization needed. Its excellent...- krenky

Yes, I posted about it multiple times in this thread, I think they replaced them because the original ones were failing.- krenky

Yes, but still if you try some proper desktop amps you will notice a difference. I have tried various amps on them but still the PMA-800 is my favourite. Not only it adds extra body to it but it also has this unique distortion that is very addicted. I am planning to get some vintage amplifier...- krenky

Yes, you will like that a lot just make sure you have enough power to drive them because with proper amp they really shine. They scale greatly with it. Enough power adds a lot of body into the music, I love it.- krenky

Not a good idea... they are not made for outside use. They might get damanged easily but if you have to then be careful. Isolation is decent but not best in the class. For me sitting in garden or walking through nature its ok but travlling with them in public = not good. For portable MM400 is...- krenky

JM Audio Editions XTC Headphones
Having had the XTC 2.5 for a few months now they still keep impressing me. Just came from a couple of weeks holiday and was thrilled to get back to them. Just when the weather was crap and I was in no mood to listen to anything somehow I forced myself to play my last obtained album... The Taxi...- krenky

Not sure if you can get better closed back than XTC especially in its price range. Even if you go higher there is not much of competition as far as I heard not even ZMFs are touching the XTC in details department plus XTC closed have amazing soundstage. Most of the higher priced closed backs...- krenky

Indeed, the D7000 very good sounding hp especially considering its age. With a bit of EQ they can be pretty detailed too. Their buttery soft sound is pure addiction. On the other side D7200 is great evolution of these classics and yes, it is superior in almost all aspects. There were multiple...- krenky

SASH Deux & Tres; impressive planars from Ukraine
Do you know if the S grills are still available as they are not listed on the website as an option anymore. Same goes for the cup covers they also are no longer listed. Anyway, I hope this could be just temporary thing due to the conflict over there. I wish it would be all over soon so he can...- krenky

Well, there is nothing wrong with EQing the set you love. If it brings the results you are looking for why to sell? The APO equalizer its really awesome and improves all my sets.- krenky
