Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

I haven't had mine for very long yet, but yes, they are pretty damn awesome and sound much better than they should for $36. With the right tips, and a little cut in the mid-bass region they really are great.

Brainwavz B200 - Dual Armature IEM

So Brainwavz believes that burn in is a real thing. They told me to burn them in for 40 to 60 hours to get their "natural sound". I'm doing so just to do as they ask, but I don't expect any difference.

Can anyone make a graph with the BL03 frequency response plotted on top of the IE Harman target? I'm wondering how close it is.

Brainwavz B200 - Dual Armature IEM

Maybe. They are packaging them with a bluetooth neckband now as well, so maybe they also tuned them to sound more mainstream friendly. The sub-bass is still rolled off, but they definitely seem too warm and too mid bass heavy. Not what i was expecting at all. I sent Brainwavz an email. We'll see...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

So I had ordered a Brainwavz B200 before I had ordered the BL03, and the B200 came in today. For my tastes the BL03 blow the B200 out of the water. I really thought I was going to like the B200. To me the B200 sound too warm, mid-bassy, and otherwise boring. The BL03 do everything better...

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...

Here's mine right now, with a OnePlus 7T streaming FLAC and LDAC at 990kbps.

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

Got my short Fiio copper plated silver cable, and a pair of MMCX to 2 pin adaptors to make the Fiio cable fit the BL03. Couldn't find a short 2 pin cable, but this will work fine. I also have a Brainwavz B200 coming that I'll be using this same cable and ES100 with as well. Not quite as...

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

Really liking these a lot. All the talk about them fitting people poorly had me worried as well, but I'm happy to say that they fit me very well and are super comfortable. The sound with just a little EQ is awesome. Very happy that I gave these a shot. I have a short 18" cable coming tomorrow...

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

The ES100 is seriously the best $100 I've spent on audio. This thing is just awesome and so versatile. I use it with IEM's and full size over ear headphones. It even works well enough for the hard to drive AKG Q701 for moderate volumes. For the last few months I've been using it velcroed to an...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I would think that for truly wireless, clarity and detail and resolution and whatever would be a factor of the Bluetooth codec and bit rite, and of course the drivers and their enclosure and DAC and amp built in. I know that sentence is a mess, but anyway. We already know the ES100 is going to...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

The Galaxy Buds use AAC on non Samsung Android phones as well.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I already have the ES100. I may try the Qudelix if it ever exists as well.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'm not sure how much clarity they can really have if they don't even support aptx.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

So the thread title asks if we're there yet.... I'm not sure. I think I'll be retiring my Galaxy Buds in favor of a Blon BL03 and an ES100. These $36 IEM's with the ES100 definitely sound much better to me than the Galaxy Buds.

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

Which phone do you use it with? I wonder if it's the phone telling you that the accessory is low. I've used my ES100 with a Pixel 3a, and a OnePlus 7T and I've never got a warning that it's low until it's at 1%.
