Help me find the best DAC for my Stax 009 and KGSSHV Carbon
Watching this since I'm in a similar situation - I'm looking for a decent mid-range dac for my Stax 009 and BHSE. I guess my primary criteria would be natural/neutral sound, then technicalities. My budget would be ~$6000 so dave wouldn't be a good fit. I had PS Audio Directstream several...- jamesyuchn

which is the warmest iem to work great with rwak240+
I'll say Fitear togo334 meets 1,3 and 4, cause I myself have rwak240 and togo334 with another balanced cable. I don't like the warm sound personally, so probably I'm gonna sell it. Anyway, togo334 would be one of your choice.- jamesyuchn

Finding new high end in ear monitors
I don't think the SE535ltd have strong or heavy bass, even with the Oyaide upgrade cable.- jamesyuchn

Akg q701 or sennhieser hd 598?
I have a Q701 while my roommate has HD598. I prefer Q701 after comparison, just because of it's sound signature. HD598 is pro when you're watching movies.- jamesyuchn

The Astell & Kern AK240
Thank you! I tried but almost all posts are about trading, and the '+' symbol seems neglected. Adding LO doesn't help either.- jamesyuchn

The Astell & Kern AK240
I'm wondering if there's difference between the original balanced LO output and the extra LO port by RWAK240+, does it worth the money? How does the sound signature change?- jamesyuchn

Noob Question: Is it worth it to get a portable amp for a pair of IEMs?
According to my experience, a portable amp WILL give you better sound, even if you're using an IEM. However, as for SE215, I think upgrading IEM itself will be a better choice, as a result of the Cannikin Law.- jamesyuchn

Yeah I know I can replace it with an genuine cable, but what if I want a balanced cable made by, for example, silver plated copper?- jamesyuchn

My er4p's cable had loose connection, so I think I need a replacement. However, hardly can I find Etymotic style pins on the market. Do you guys have any idea?- jamesyuchn

Headphone and DAC + Ampli portable
I'm also new here, and as far as I know, the AK120ii cannot power HD800, you'll need an amplifier.- jamesyuchn
