What  equalization are you using for the Sarah Brightman tracks?  If you turn the equalization off altogether, the errant sounds should vanish as well.  Give it a try!  I had the same problem with some of the tracks on the latest Jackie Evanco recording.  Turning off the EQ cleared things up...

I just plugged them into the phone jack of my McIntosh C31V Preamp. I've heard the phones through the Grado amp at my friend's house; but I really think the sound through the McIntosh is every bit as good. I may not have to do anything else!

As of last night, I'm now the owner of a very well preserved copy of the HP-1! I made a "can't refuse" offer to one of my friends and he accepted. He said he could live with his HP-2! Besides, he wanted a new digital camera; so the timing was right.
