Help finding the 'perfect' in ear monitor for the right price
I've found my HF3's have plenty of bass once EQ'd and I like bass. It's also very controlled and not just a rumble.- J.M

Too much suction = quality loss?
I've read lots of comments that Ety's need to be inserted well into the ear but I'm finding the opposite. I find that this causes a lot of pressure/suction and has a negative effect on the sound as well as comfort. When they're inserted deep into the ear there's less bass and a very narrow sound...- J.M

Etymotic hf3 Review
Since I downloaded EQu I've noticed a definite improvement in the sound quality. I don't think I could get them any further in, I'm using the larger triple flange which seems ok, when I use the small one they go so far in the wire is pushing into my outer ear and I don't feel like the seal...- J.M

How many other people have spent way more than they should because of Head-Fi.
I joined a while ago when I got my HD595's, recently I've started looking at how I can improve things. Now thinking about a DAC and amp to go with the 595's and HF3's. Not sure how much that'll cost!- J.M

Etymotic HF5 or Audeo PFE?
Think I'll have to try the Shure tips as people keep recommending them, currently using the large triple flanges and don't find them too uncomfortable. As others have said the isolation from the Etymotic's is staggering. The treble at higher volumes was harsh and a little distorted...- J.M

Possibly returning my Klipsch S4a - looking to upgrade (now with Atrio MG7 impressions)
I would think the low bitrate mp3's you have would negate the benefit of upgrading, I'm not an expert just an observation of some of my own files.- J.M

Etymotic hf3 Review
I have no idea to be honest, they are far louder on the iMac, I have to keep the volume quite a bit lower while on the iPhone I'm getting past 3/4's Also more bass and just generally sound better. I put all this down to them getting more power but as you can tell I'm new to all this.- J.M

Etymotic hf3 Review
Great review! I've been using mine on my iPhone for the last few days and been really impressed, then today I tried them on the iMac and they sound a lot better. I assume its the extra power they're getting?- J.M

Newbie needs help!
Well they turned up today and I'm very pleased with them they sound great!! I wasn't sure how little bass to expect, they're not boomy but I don't find the bass too light. I have noticed I have the volume higher though, I guess they're harder to drive than the apple buds? Will be...- J.M
