HD800 with HD600/650 foam mod
Yes, this is very simple and effective way to tame the treble of HD800, with more bass. I use the foam disc from DT880 with the hole in the center, like donut. I don't understand why this mod is not very poplular among headfiers.- im533

NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
I'm using tube damper rings to push down the tubes onto the pads. I put the damper rings vertically on the tubes and reassembled the chassis. (It's somewhat difficult to reassemble the chassis with rings on tubes.) After using damper rings, the ringing is much reduced though it still exists...- im533

LCD3 Kirkland Bath Tissue Edition, a.k.a. ToiletPants
I use LCD-2 r2 w/ LCD-3 pads with TP Mod. But my felt is not original one. I purchased the brown one and changed the original felt with this brown felt. The thickness is slightly different, and the diameter of the new felt is also different - slightly small but not much different. I think the...- im533

Audeze LCD-2 Mods
Quote: I have LCD-2 R2, and I feel just replacing the original round felt pad with thinner and little smaller circular one makes LCD-2 sound more open. This does not spoil the original character of LCD2 much, but adds more airy atmosphere. I like this feeling very much. I still hear 20hz...- im533

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Anyone has ever tried to replace the felt inside the grill? By curiosity, I replaced the felt with thinner and smaller one. I feel this makes the openness extended. I feel the weakness of LCD2 is the openness, and this mod resolved this somewhat. It is very excited experience to me.- im533

Quote: Yes, it's my first time post. I'm not native English speaker, so I just look around here sometimes.. for 6 years. haha. And.. Done. I'm happy with this double-side tape mode because I had to re-adjust the position of the pad whenever I wear the headphone. For the sound, I'm not...- im533
