Yea its not much probabley same drive just tweeked for adjusting.

I thought the IE7 and IE8's had the same driver. The IE8's have the detachable cable and bass adjustment. Other then that i was under the impression that the driver was the same. Please correct me if im wrong.

Mine sound decent out of the box, i can hear the potential these have very smooth. I cant wait to hear how they sound when burned in. So far im very pleased with the design and fit they seem to be a very high quality build.

If it were me i would stick with the Jays or get some Phonaks. The 530's are big they would become an issue for people with small ears. After wearing the phonaks for a few weeks the 530's are huge now. I would consider the phonaks.
