Agreed. The boosted midbass destroys the listening experience.

  Thanks for sharing your mod but I don't think I'm going to follow that path. I will attempt to sell them first as headphones are in great condition. I'm hoping without any modifications I can get enough to pay for the original T5p as they are much cheaper now.

I decided to sell my T5p gen 2 after having these for about 5 months. Beyerdynamic wanted to please too many people with these headphones in my opinion, the result is: not for basshead, yet too warm, nor is it for treble head. I don't think I'm a treble head (well, maybe I am) but I just can't...

  For what it's worth I've been using my T5p.2 in the open office environment and nobody complained. If you liked the original T5p another option to consider is B&O H6 gen 1. They are amazing for the money. I also found PM-3 uninspiring.

I think H6 v1 is one of the best headphones I heard and one of the reasons is tamed mid bass :-) a little more and things start getting muddy. I haven't heard v2 but from what I read looks like v1 would be my preference.

supper glue worked well for me, I've done it in January I think and haven't had any issues since  

I just use the bag that came with my B&O H6. Usually I use H6 on the train and T5p in the office.
