S/PDIF digital output with the AV710 on Linux - guide
Thank you! I wasted a ton of time trying to get this to work, and then finally I stumbled upon your guide. It really helped! A couple of questions: 1) I see that in the asound.state file you provide, you have unmuted and raised the volume levels for many different channels. Is there a...- GetCool

Poor bass performance... please help me improve things

Poor bass performance... please help me improve things
I may have overstated that a bit; I meant I heard "almost no bass" in some of my music, but not all. Generally it is poor across the board, but it's not nonexistent. I do suspect a problem somewhere, though, as I don't think it's just me; it just doesn't sound right, and I haven't really read...- GetCool

Poor bass performance... please help me improve things
I have the following headphone setup that I use exclusively with my computer: Terratec DMX 6fire card > homemade silver braid mini-mini IC > Headsave Transit META42 amp > Cardas cable > HD580s My problem is lackluster bass in general. I listen to lossless FLAC files with foobar2000, and I...- GetCool

Nice amp for computer sound card source?
Quote: Again just my opinion take it for waht it is worth: IMO, if you care at all about sound quality, and you must if you are at all involved here , you'll need to eventually ditch the mp3's. you can stick a $5000 amp on a computer sound card and all you will have is a very clear picture...- GetCool
