SONY NWZ-A10 Series
Hi, Anyone tried pairing a portable DAC and found the combination to be a significant upgrade ? Was thinking mainly of one of the following (but any other great ones would be welcome as well....) 1. Oppo HA-2 2. Cayin C5D 3. JDS Labs C5D 4. Sony PHA-1a Altough having full size headphones...- Gals

I don't think there's any competition today to the a10 series. Strange though... Below there are tons of portable devices, non of them support HD format, Above there are more dedicated devices, non of them truly portable as the a10, non have FM radio, non support bluetooth connectivity, and...- Gals

I tend to agree, 27 is way over what I would peak with my 40ohm IEM, when it comes to normal IEMs - maximum volume is not an issue. With my full size headphones, well, it's a different story. But I don't mind as I never use those on-the-go, at my desk back home a tiny amp compensates this one...- Gals

At least one member here claimed he sent back the EU version & got the US one, and yeah - he confirmed that the maximum volume is different - 27 US equals 30 EU.... I got mine from Russia, I don't think there's any volume limit here, and btw - the differet between 27 and 30 is not significant...- Gals

After few days with my new A15 I must admit I'm very happy with my purchase. I was looking for an upgrade from my iPod Classic and for me it was down to the Fiio x5 or the iBasso x90. ...then the a15 cames in... I still think both x5 and x90 give better resolution and better amping, but the...- Gals

Anyone can recommend a small amp for the a10? — Size wise, I would be happy if it would be similar or just a tag bigger than the a10. - Treble boost & Surround could be nice, but not a must. - Digital input could be nice as well, but not a must. - Plan to use 40 ohm IEM so power...- Gals

I also thought Amazon should be a safe bet, just got a Sandisk microSD 128gb, found a 3rd party store that sold it for 75$, regular goes for 99$, couldn't say I did not suspect things could go wrong as the seller was from china, but the price looked reasonable (unlike 10$ on eBay) and the seller...- Gals

Is there any 3rd party FW for the a10 that might give additional sound features to the current playback section? One thing that I really like on android base devices is the ability to use different playing apps, each one giving its own treatment to the music. I think that bass and treble...- Gals

Oh I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough, I'm not suggesting there isn't any difference between those - just said my ears couldn't notice one... Well, sometimes when I touch the 3.5mm connector on the L16 I do get some noise... Think that counts?....- Gals
