When you need to EQ a HD800, something along that sound chain is not working optimally. It's not meant to be EQed. The way you want to hear how music is reproduced in it's original form.   Well, YMMV with your setup. You may fine-tune it further down the road.

Not sure if Jason has commented on the following, neither do I see it in the thread (just started reading not long ago).   Why did Schiit choose AKM among all of the best sounding DAC chips (e.g Wolfson, BurrBrown and Sabre) ?   Any insights ?   Thanks.

What exactly is the ringing problem to you guys ? What is your serial number ? Does it affect all of the HD800 ? Or a particular batch ? I have none of it , not that I can detect of to say the least. Have not done any mod to it either. Love the way it sounds right out from the box.

Just received my wryd + pyst usb and extra valhalla2 tubes today. Can attest to that subtle yet noticeable difference on wryd. Definitely no placebo. The leds seemed much brighter.  

Wryd just arrived today to complete my setup. The leds are much brighter than V2 and BF. Schiit in Schiit out transformation has been completed.  

If Schiit have plans to release a full tube amp with balanced and single ended stuffs , that would awesome :)

Hey guys, would like to check with you on the following.   The Bifrost user manual front page shows that the revision is "E". However, at the back of the Bifrost, there isn't any indication showing it is "SCH04-E or SCH04E". Mine was SCH04.   Is it because 230VAC version is non-E ?   Thanks.
