Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Actually, we're bringing out a new product to address all the switch whinging. It's called, "The Clapper!"

Considering the brand name is Schiit, shouldn't it be called "The Crapper"? You could have it turn on and off with a toilet flush.

Hello Jason,

I was wondering which of the Schiit products you're most proud of as it presented in the final offering.
I  know your very proud of all your work but is their one for what ever reason the stands out the most that, you would say I am most proud of product XXXX?

I have purchased several Schiit products over the past year and couldn't be happier with any of them. The Gungnir kicks some serious audio butt and the Magni/Modi combo sounds fine. Finer than a $500 headphone amp/DAC by quite a bit. Nice job. Seriously!

And here I was hoping for a tube Speaker amp with 250WPC RMS in the Modi/Vali/Loki/Sys chassis.

Maybe some kind of balanced tube amp? Maybe with tube rectification to compete with woo products like the wa22?

Just had a crazy thought...Would it be possible to "reserve" a yggy with a specific serial number? I would love an yggy with the same number is my ragg....?

Are serial numbers consecutive, or do they jump around to obscure sales/production?  (See German Tank Problem.)  My Rag isn't even two digit and I ordered very very early, within the first hour of the first day.  Or they start at 100.

Anything below 150 is a prototype.

Not sure if Jason has commented on the following, neither do I see it in the thread (just started reading not long ago).

Why did Schiit choose AKM among all of the best sounding DAC chips (e.g Wolfson, BurrBrown and Sabre) ?

Any insights ?

Thanks.

It has impressive specs, it lives up to them and it sounded good to them.
