    FiiO X7 | DXD | DSD | 384K/64B | ESS9018+ Android | WiFi | Bluetooth | 4 AMP modules | Balanced Out |

If have fixed my DNLA (apparantly there is a limit to the amount of folders you can use) by splitting my Lossless and old MP3 stuff in to two different DNLA volumes. Lossless DNLA works technically good: Can see and play all files. Some small hick-ups with 192/24 stuff but this might be a NAS...

Which DNLA server are you all using?.  I have a Netgear Readynas 104 and with its build in DNLA service it takes forever to load my Music collection on the nas but eventually shows no files but only Folders, Artist names, Albums but no selectable music files.

I have never used 1.5 so I do not know what has changed, you can send me a list of things you might expect in the next FW and I can check if this is fixed/enabled in my version.

I was not joking (keep in mind I bough a demo model  at CES so that might have a newer firmware than the ones available online. And maybe it is not the Final 1.6 but just an internal alpha or beta version already named 1.6)

What is the "next" firmware, I see everyone posting they're on 1.5 but mine is already on 1.6?

I got it for 500, but no box at 2pm last day.  (You can buy a lot of stuff the last day at CES, not everyone wants to ship everything back home)   What I actually found most interesting at the booth was that they copied my Business Card design. I gave them my business card last year (Plastic...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I have owned my X2 now for about 2 months and to my ears it sounds much better than my previous full headphone (AKG Q701 QJ Edition) and also is much easier to drive. The X2 is much better suited to enjoy music where the Q701 seems (and probably is designed for this) only suited as a studio...

I tested the Onkyo as well, but this was not available on the market yet, Pioneer could be ordered from Amazon and delivered next day. Next to that I'm not interested in a balanced output.  Switching rooms, different music and not my own music I could not hear any difference compared to the...

I now have 128gb almost filled with lossles and some hi res music and I find the browsing functionality of the FIIO music app limiting. You can scroll through all songs ... Not convenient You can search by album: but only alphabetical and nbot by artist You can search by artist but than you get...

AT CES i have tested a couple of DAP's to ba able to decide which one I would buy to replace my Iphone or Ipod 5.5 with E12A combos. I tested A&K 120 and 240, Pioneer DP100R and the Onkyo version and a couple of Hifiman devices. The 2nd day my choice was down to the Pioneer and the FIIO X7, both...

Review by 'ericpeters' on item 'AKG Acoustics K-240 Semi Open Studio Headphones'

A complete no brainer: if used at home probably the best headphone you can buy for this money, they fit comfortable and have excellent sound. There are better sounding headphones out there but you have to reach much deeper in your wallet.  They are not suited for travelers in my opinion.

Review by 'ericpeters' on item 'Shure SE425 Earphone'

I bought these at an online music store for a price much lower than elsewhere. This is my 3rd pair of Shure In ear monitors. The first pair where E2's which broke the tip when replacing the foam cushion, I tried to repair them but they lacked bass after this. The second pair where E310 in black...
