Having owned the K701 and RS1 together at the same time, i'd guess you may regret the switch since you do listen to quite alot of rock yea? I'm still having my RS1 with me and even though it doesn't get as much headtime as the MS-Pro, i rarely used the K701 when i had it as my playlists...

I get that at times with my headphones and i really put it down to my mood... Sometimes when my mood is really low or really tired, whatever i hear just sounds like crap but on the 'good' days, i really enjoy my music that i don't want to take my headphones off
