I've got a Pixel, stock (not rooted or unlocked), and the new firmware does nothing to fix the issue. You'd think they'd fix it at least for the canonical implementation of the current version of Android, but nope.

HF5s are good cans. Very even frequency response, perhaps a touch dry and a little rolled off at the ends. Might also consider the SE315s, though I don't think they're necessarily enough better to warrant 2x the price.

Interesting points. I've never gone above 40% load according to the LED readout on the C10, but something to consider. I might try unplugging everything except the computer, TV, and amp and seeing what happens. Lots of things to try now ...
