    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

That's interesting. An amp for the Sus that I really liked was the dCS Lina, as it seemed to totally disappear yet superbly control the drivers without trying to impress. Form factor and price are not for me. Perhaps the Enleum house sound is an acquired taste. You have a point. The 3.5mm...

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

It's possible. Perhaps I am fantasizing too much about the TT2 sound packaged in a Hugo form factor. But have we in 2024 already reached a technological plateau in compact DAC design?

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

The development cycle of Hugo is puzzling. Seems like the issue is Rob Watts having no bandwidth due to high-end projects. I've heard a dealer complain about collapsing entry-level Chord sales due to the lack of new models. One would think there would be a middle point between releasing a new...

Canpur Audio - Impressions and Discussion Thread

I've had the opportunity to demo the CP622, without knowing the brand nor price, and I was very impressed with the sound. I'm coming from almost a decade using mainly Spiral Ear monitors (SE5 and SE6 line), which are praised for their balance and natural timbre. I felt the CP622 tuned very...

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

Thanks for the tips. I was under the impression that the current output was designed for planar headphones. I recognize that the 23-RM does imaging very well. It became apparent when listening to jazz.

Thanks for the tip. I am looking forward to giving it another try. I actually asked Enleum this exact question but no one bothered answering in 3 months.

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

Hello! I used the current output. Hugo 2 was in "line out" mode (3.7v if my memory is correct) and the 23-RM pot at about 11am when volume matching by ear. It's the demo unit at Zepp.

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

I recently demoed the 23-RM with the hope to power the Susvara when travelling. I really, really wanted this amp to work (almost blind bought it). I ended up disappointed. My A/B test was done between the headphone out of Hugo 2, and the 23-RM hooked up to the Hugo 2. Two second switches...

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

I am starting to lose trust in Enleum with now multiple reports of 23R and 23RM units sounding different. Enleum has not addressed this issue and does not reply to emails. This is not serious.

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

Very neat! It looks like the leather has been glued onto the case. This does not cause any issue with the amp heating?

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread

Does plugging a demanding load (like the Susvara) straight into the Hugo 2, with line-out activated, risk damaging the Hugo? My understanding is that it does not, as the fixed voltage output is designed not to clip, but I wonder if this puts any stress to the amp in the long-run. It's not...

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

Amazing. Looking forward. I like the smoothness of the MHA200 but I find that it really lacks micro-details, soundstage depth and cleanliness compared to the Ferrum Orr stack, which I tried at home. I passed on the Oor as I eventually found it too mellow for my taste with the Susvara. It was...

Can't wait for your impressions with Susvara! I am seeking to replace my MHA200 with something better and more transportable.

    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

Would this still be a risk with Chord Hugo 2 (which outputs 3Vrms in its SE "line out" mode) feeding the 23RM, and with headphones such as the Utopia and Susvara? I've always thought that a higher pre-amp voltage was desirable something desirable. (Edit: apparently there is such a thing as...

Spiral Ears SE5 Ultimate Discussion/ Impressions thread

Hello Proedros, I owned SE5 Ultimate for 6 years and the SE6 Edge for a little less than a year. The SE5 Ultimate has rolled off highs, which gives it a darker presentation. The SE6 Edge is to my hear slightly V-shaped, with prominent treble and a bass shelf (all compared to the Hifiman Susvara...
