AndyKatz you're talking about the gold ones and not the silver ones right? Well I didn't like them very much with the bowls that I assume most people in this thread are judging them by; if you have a pair make sure you try them with other earpads specifcally HD414 and comfies with a hole cut...

So are you rating them with flats or bowls or both? You say the ER4S is so much more detailed than the sr325i yet you score it a 9 for detail? also you say they are much less controlled in the bass department than the HD650 but give it a 9 anyway? I don't get your scoring system...

What pads are you using on them? They have a bigger influence on the sound than an amp does. If you can get a pair of comfies, cut a hole in it and give those a try. I find it tones the highs down while adding more weight to the lower end, the mids are also brought more forward. When I first...

It's your call. I have a MS-1 that I would consider for portable use only if I sitting on my arse outside all day, although I would not like to carry something as large as the sr325i/ms2 which I would have to be mindful of at all times to prevent me damaging/losing them.
