As far as the Pioneers, I really had never heard of them but I will look into them.   I have heard good things about the Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones, but the price is higher than the models I was looking at and I don't particularly like the appearance.

What is the best Ultrasone headphone under $300?  I am mostly interested in which has the best overall sound combined with the best bass.  Portability, style, and other factors are not a big deal.

Any thoughts on the difference between the V-moda crossfade lp and V-moda crossfade lp2?  Also, could anyone compare the crossfade models with the m-80 as far as their performance?
