Announcing the Audeze LCD-GX, the First Audiophile Gaming Headphone
While I like the sound signature of the LCD-2 (fazor version), the thing is way to heavy for gaming. I had mine for 3 years and still cant use it past 45 minutes. (old headband). I own currently a HD600, a HD800, a LCD-2 and an iSine10. I use the HD800 or the iSine for gaming. The HD600 for out...- catspaw

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Concerning Schiitr I like the Granpa Style interior. Best of Luck, too bad I live on the other half of the planet (sideways, not hemisphereways).- catspaw

accuracy is subjective
1. Thats my point (the contradiction). 2.I am talking about graphs and how they correlate to subjective opinion. Most people cant make the connection. 3.Its still additional costs. Not everyone has disposable income to spend on whatever they want. 4.Of course it is subjective, but I have to...- catspaw

Understanding the approach in Sound Science vs the rest of Head-Fi
This site is sponsored by HP companies after all... Subjective opinions are important when you are running a restaurant, but even then 1 sample is not important or relevant. So yes, if 95% of the people that bought a HP are happy with it it might be worth looking into it, but there is always...- catspaw

accuracy is subjective
I agree that accuracy is subjective when we put in a subjective listener (human). Thats why you cant use accuracy "by ear", but need to use devices that wont change their mind based on the mood they are in or if they had their morning coffee or not. The important point why sound science is...- catspaw

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I cant help but smile when I see such a smart use of the Obsolete word. Thats the same everyone tells me when I beat them at a strategy game with my "obsolete" Strategies/Tactics. Always makes me smile a little.- catspaw

Headphone comparison: Sennheiser HD 600, HD 700, HD 800, HD 25-1, and the Amperior; Audio-Technica ATH-M50s; Audez'e LCD-2 rev.2 and the LCD-3
I Have two sets of speakers (Z-5500 Logitech for my PC, Focal chorus 714 for projector home theater in living room). As much as I like the LCD-2 for gaming, the weight limits the amount of time I can use them, thus the speakers and a HD600. However, for realism, the LCD-2 is really...- catspaw

Headphone comparison: Sennheiser HD 600, HD 700, HD 800, HD 25-1, and the Amperior; Audio-Technica ATH-M50s; Audez'e LCD-2 rev.2 and the LCD-3
So I eventually ended up with the LCD-2 Fazor. Currently I own HD600 (for very long gaming sessions if not using speakers, most at night time), the LCD 2 (My favorite HP over all, when possible I use this one) and a HE-400 that I barely use anymore (its going up for sale). I did test the...- catspaw

Rate the video games you're currently playing
Playing Darkest Dungeon. Interesting game. Hard to express why its fun, but Its one of those games you can play while eating and still be effective. I like the art style, the audio, the 1 frame animation format and surely the dungeon crawling style (Its grinding as well but so far I find it...- catspaw

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Good point. If I remember correctly Jason also mentioned that some of their products keep selling very well while others not so much. It could actually be an interesting exercise to see what products are selling the most and why, then see if it fits with the data that you could get from putting...- catspaw

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I have mixed feelings about Jasons last post. Calling market research "guesswork" is very strange if I consider I have called the demise of the last 15 big over hyped products in the world for a few solid years (one example was google glass when I first saw it, I said it would never hit the...- catspaw

iPhone 7 Will Revolutionize Portable Audio for the First Time in a Decade
I was reading all this debate about the lightning connector and if it has a dac or not and so on and in the back of my head I was thinking "Either we are overpaying for Dacs and Amps for our headphones or this is supposed to sound real bad. Its either one or the other" I dont see how someone...- catspaw
