    IEM with Sony sound signature

Quote: Is there anything like but cheaper? I was looking at the MDR-EX210B which have a similar construction but without the over-ear construction of the EX600.

    IEM with Sony sound signature

Hi,   I'm looking for a pair of IEMs that have the Sony sound signature. I currently own a pair of MDR-V6s and absolutely adore the sound they create. It's perfect in every way and I feel like I've been spoiled because I've tried other headphones and just none do it for me.   I also own...

    Brainwavz M1 comfort issue

So the story is this - I'm looking for a good pair of at or under $50. I bought the Sennheiser CX300ii, and actually quite liked them. I got used to the J-cable as well, I have absolutely no problems wearing it behind my neck. However, perusing the forums, I've come to notice that Head-Fi really...

Review by 'burlak89' on item 'Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones'

Let me begin by saying that this was my first foray into quality headphones. Previously, I would use crappy earphones that have been passed down or that I'd find here and there, I've never paid much attention to the quality of my music. I've tested out different ones at B&H - best place to go to...

Klipsch Image S4 with better build quality

Haha. Ok I think I'll end my search for now with a pair of Sennheiser CX300ii. I was able to get B&H to price match them with the Amazon price. They're pretty good and it's only $44. Not that bad.

Klipsch Image S4 with better build quality

Hi all,   I'm sorry if this was already asked before. I'm looking for IEMs with the sound quality of the Klipsch S4's but having a durable build quality. Apparently the S4s rip too easily at the joints in the Y as well as on the earphones themselves. Also, I know that most IEMs suffer from...

New to quality headphones, tried HD428s, need something different (detailed description inside)

So I decided to purchase a set of V-Moda Crossfade LPs, which I got a really good deal for. They sound pretty darn amazing, the sound hardly leaks, and they have a good range - bass is excellent, mids and highs COULD be a bit more prominent, but it's no detraction. I hope they mold to my ears...

New to quality headphones, tried HD428s, need something different (detailed description inside)

I've come across mentions of those Panasonic ones and seriously considered them. It's interesting that people boast them as being on par with other mid-range headphones but they are the price of low-end ones.. maybe that IS possible! Also, I'm currently listening to a pair of Sony MDR-NC40s, and...

New to quality headphones, tried HD428s, need something different (detailed description inside)

Ah, cool, thanks! I will definitely read that carefully and see what I come up with. Is there anything that can come to mind right off the bat for a good fit for me?

New to quality headphones, tried HD428s, need something different (detailed description inside)

Hi all,   Firstly, sorry for the wall of text, lol, I just kept writing and writing.   I'm very new to quality headphones, so please be gentle!  I've listened to music for far too long using cheapo earbuds that I've found here and there, never actually bought or spent time looking for a...

help! this is driving me nuts (cmoy problem-heat, no sound)

oh i just found out something! the two resistors beside the top two capacitors are not 4.75kohm, AND one is 0.6something and the other is 3.6something. Could that be why the amp gets really hot but doesn't actually fry?

help! this is driving me nuts (cmoy problem-heat, no sound)

I finished building the cmoy circuit, but there is no sound, and I have two problems. First, when I was building the power supply, when I tested virtual ground to each pole, it gave me 8-9v on the positive side and really close (but not exactly) to 0 on the negative side. I checked all the...
