Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
Wow, this thread is still going! (Member since June of 2001) I'm rarely active anymore as I don't think I have much to offer! My only complaint is the label finally came off of my official Head Fi coffee mug. Is there a warranty???- Budgie

Need help with AC interference on DC power supply output
If the phono amp and the preamp both have ground connected power cords that may be the cause. try plogging both power cords in to the same power outlet, if they aren't all ready.- Budgie

Results of a lossless versus lossy blind listening test
I believe your test was successful in that it eliminated confirmation bias as a variable. My opinion is confirmation bias is one of the biggest factors in audio preferences.- Budgie

Sony MDR-7506 repair? Never done this.
If I remember correctly, there are a three Phillips screws under the foam covering the drivers. I was able to squish the earpad aside enough to get a scew driver into the screws by poking it through the foam. The screws are recessed into indents in the plastic. That was several years ago. Maybe...- Budgie

Compiling a database of source output impedance
I think it's a interesting idea. You might have to post atutorial on how to make the measurement and calculate the output impedance.- Budgie
